Ajesh is a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in site-specific installations and performance art. With a graduate degree from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath and a Master of Fine Art with Distinction from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, UK, Ajesh set out to explore the possibilities of capturing interventions in natural environments through his love for nature.
Ajesh worked as an art director for many Bangalore-based theatre groups from 1998 until 2010. In 2001, he wrote the screenplay for “Words,” which served as the basis for his directorial debut. Later, in 2009, he wrote the screenplay and directed “The Cube,” an issue-based play which was staged at Alliance Française, Bangalore. During his tenure in Malaysia between 2010 and 2021, Ajesh directed three musicals: Wizard of Oz, Caucasian Chalk Circle and Oliver the Musical at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Center (KLpac) and University Malaya KL, Malaysia.
Ajesh is a passionate teacher and a storyteller. He has taught at various international schools in India, Thailand and Malaysia. His fondness for nature led him to explore the divinity within it and helped him connect with the heavens above. He has travelled far and wide, creating art at multiple locations and connecting with people at the same time.
